Dheeraj Paul

Dheeraj Paul, born in Delhi, comes from one of India’s respected photography families. With over three decades of experience in editorial and advertising photography, he has built a distinguished career spanning travel, wildlife, people, fine art, and architecture.

A Sony Alpha Brand Ambassador and founder of Indian Photo Tours, Dheeraj has mentored and guided photographers across some of India’s most remote and visually striking destinations — from the high-altitude landscapes of Ladakh to the tiger reserves of India. Through immersive expeditions and masterclasses, he has helped shape one of India’s respected photography education and travel platforms.

Dheeraj has also served as a jury member for the Sony World Photography Awards in 2014 and 2015, as well as the Humanity Photo Awards in 2009, 2011, and 2013. He is the author of acclaimed books including Around India’s First Table, The Golden Temple: A Gift to Humanity, and The Art of Indian Cuisine, among others.
